Pregnancy Tests:
No appointment is necessary. Tests are free and confidential. You will be given the results immediately.

Classes, Workshops, Info & Referrals:

Our kind and knowledgeable staff creatively assist mothers, fathers and others in meeting the challenges of parenting. You will find helpful information in our reference library of books, pamphlets and DVDs.  Each open house event features an educational topic of special interest to parents.  We offer classes, workshops and mentoring opportunities throughout the week.  (See our current class/workshop schedule below.)

Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun

Certificates of attendance awarded to parents participating in all five sessions.

Food for Tots
Problems feeding your 1-5 yr old? No worries. We'll help you learn the what, when and where of feeding your little tyke. Childcare provided.

Language Exchange
We meet as a small group and practice to improve our fluency in either Spanish or English. We teach our own language and learn another by listening and conversing with each other.

Moms Show & Share Time
Show off your newborn and share stories with other moms at this special time for the new momma.  Milk, cookies and conversation with an emphasis on Feeding Baby the First Year, What does “normal” look like? And taking care of the new momma (that’s you!)

Moms Sew
Moms sewing instruction.  All supplies and equipment provided.  All skill levels welcome.  Child care provided.  Lunch is served.

Clothing & Supplies:
Our Maternity Boutique is stocked with a variety of clothing and personal care items for pregnant women and nursing mothers. You are welcome to stop by any time we are open.

Emergency Supplies:
We have a small Emergency Supplies Cupboard of blankets, diapers and sleepers in sizes preemie-4T available on an emergency basis. Please phone ahead to be certain we have what you need.

Children grow so fast! And that’s the reason we hold our monthly open house. On the second Saturday of each month, we distribute bundles of baby clothes, diapers, blankets and other supplies for little ones.

Monthly Open House:
On the Second Saturday of the month, we throw open the doors of Mother & Child Education Center and you are invited to join the fun! Meet other moms, choose clothes for your infant and preschooler, have a little refreshment, learn something new. Each month the clothing we offer is appropriate to the season. There are activities and supervision for the children and important information on parenting and family care for moms and dads.  We’ll be under the big tents, so come and enjoy yourself, rain or shine. Plan to spend an hour or more.
